1. Information We Collect
Clean Desk X is designed to scan and analyze files locally on your device. We do not upload your personal files to our servers during normal app usage.
2. How We Use Information
Any limited information we process is used only to provide core functionality, improve performance, and support licensing and customer support operations.
3. Local File Processing
File scanning, size analysis, and cleanup recommendations are performed locally on your Mac. You remain in control of which files are removed.
4. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers only where needed:
- Paddle (payments): used to process checkout and payment transactions. Paddle may process billing details such as your name, email address, payment method metadata, transaction amount, and purchase history needed to complete payment and handle refunds, fraud checks, and tax/compliance records.
- Sentry (crash reporting): used to monitor app stability and diagnose errors. Sentry events may include technical data such as stack traces, device/OS details, app version, and diagnostic context. We configure monitoring to avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data whenever possible.

5. Crash and Diagnostics Data
When an app error occurs, diagnostic events may be sent to Sentry to help us identify and fix issues quickly. This may include error logs, stack traces, timestamps, and technical environment data. We do not use crash reporting to intentionally collect your personal files. Sentry SDK data collection details are available in Sentry's Data Collected documentation.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
